Our Mission
Adventure Appalachia facilitates empowering outdoor adventure activities for children, adolescents, and adults. We are committed to making outdoor adventure opportunities accessible to everyone. We offer guided experiences in wilderness settings where participants are exposed to the technical skills that allow them to play an active, meaningful role in their adventure and build interpersonal skills that are relevant and applicable to everyday life. Our activities, which include whitewater rafting, kayaking, rock climbing, rappelling, mountain biking, stand up paddle boarding, zip-lining, and camping, are each custom designed to meet the specific needs and goals of our participants. We strive to facilitate experiences that encourage a sense of self-worth and empowerment, foster the value of care and respect for the natural world, and exemplify the importance of communication, teamwork, and leadership.
